2 de noviembre de 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Diane Stancato, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 93. Born on March 31, 1932, to the late Paul and Mary (Pisano) LePera. She was a 1950 graduate of Kenosha High School. Theresa graced the lives of her family and friends with her unwavering love, warmth, and kindness.
On June 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Anthony Stancato. Sadly, he preceded her in death on March 4, 2008.
Throughout her career, Theresa worked for A & P Grocery Store, Heinemann Bakery, Montgomery Ward, and Carthage College-where she concluded her professional journey. She truly cherished her time there and found great joy in her work.
Theresa had a passion for cooking, everything Italian.... lasagna, vermicelli & broccoli, and baking. She cooked everything for every family occasion... as she would never fathom using a caterer. She also loved to travel, enjoying memorable trips to Hawaii, Bermuda, Las Vegas, and Spain, as well as visiting casinos like Potawatomi and Ho-Chunk and spending time with relatives in Cicero. In addition to cooking and traveling, Theresa found joy in crocheting. Every family member has a crocheted cross she made hanging from their rearview mirror, and she often gifted handmade slippers to new babies and loved ones, especially at Christmastime.
Throughout her life, Theresa's home was a haven filled with love where family gathered and shared countless stories and food. She had a delightful way of making everyone feel special, and the warmth of her heart will forever echo in the memories of all who knew her. Her laughter will be missed, but her love will remain a guiding force for her family.
She is survived by her children, Janice Caputo, Thomas (Holly) Stancato, Gary (Beverly) Stancato, Bryan Stancato, and Randy Stancato; her grandchildren, Steven (Kiryl) Bryant, Frank (Laura) Caputo, Ryan Stancato, Riley Stancato, Amber (Nickolas) Stancato, Corey (Rebecca) Stancato, Brenda (Adam) Curtis, Eric (Maria) Smith, Samantha Lokken, Angela Stancato, Paul Stancato, Jacob Stancato, Adam Zielsdorf, Jamie (Joe) Perico, Lauren Zielsdorf, and Chris (Felicia) Howard; and sister, Betty (Chuck) Aiello; and many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Stancato; and granddaughter, Jennifer Stancato.
Memorial remembrances to the Siena Retreat Center, 5637 Erie St., Racine, WI, (https://www.sienaretreatcenter.org/).

noviembre 5, 2025Sincerely sorry for the family’s loss of Theresa. May you find comfort in knowing that your mother’s love is never-ending, as it remains forever in the memories you’ve made with her over the years. May those memories bring smiles to your faces, even behind tears shed. Know that death was never God’s plan (Gen. 1:28; Rom. 5:12) so he gives us hope; the hope that loved ones will be resurrected (Acts 24:15) to life forever on a paradise earth, (Ps.37:11,29) as God intended from the beginning. Until then know that your beloved mother, Theresa, rest in God's loving care.
