A visitation for James will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.

Interment with full military honors will be held privately.

James Richard Ellis, age 92, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Born on August 3, 1931, he was the son of the late James W. and Vida G. (Sapp) Ellis.

James proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was employed as an OR Technician for Kenosha Memorial Hospital for 43 years, retiring in 2000.

James was a heartfelt, kind, caring and generous person. He loved cruising and enjoyed collecting porcelain birds and going out to eat at The Bartley House and Hobnob.

He will be dearly missed by his friend and caregiver, Phillip Zuzinec; his brother, Arthur (Karen) Ellis; his brother-in-law, Glenn Gieseke and sisters-in-law, Kathy Ellis and Diane Ellis.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his partner, Walton Taylor; his sister, Beverly Gieseke and brothers, Raymond Ellis and David Ellis.
