John H. \u201cJack\u201d Coates, age 87, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at United Hospital Systems-Kenosha Campus.<\/p>\n
Born on April 20, 1927 in Milwaukee, he was the son of the late Howard and Luella (Born) Coates.\u00a0 Jack also received his BBA in accounting from UW-Madison.<\/p>\n
On September 7, 1957, he was united in marriage to Carol Paulson in Illinois.\u00a0 They were blessed with 39 years of marriage before she passed away on July 18, 1997.<\/p>\n
Jack was employed with AMC\/Chrysler for 40 years, retiring in April of 1989, as a supervisor in Cost Accounting.<\/p>\n
He was an avid bowler and a 20-year member of the Kenosha Bowling Association, where he served two terms as President and also sat on their Board of Directors.\u00a0 Jack also enjoyed reading, especially westerns, military and history books.\u00a0 He was a Snoopy collector and loved following his favorite sports teams, the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.\u00a0 Jack always looked forward to his Saturday morning breakfasts with Larry, Greta, Rhonda and Eva.<\/p>\n
He will be missed by his niece, Chris Hinshaw; two great nieces, Melissa and Ashley Hinshaw and great nephew, Steven Hinshaw.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Coates and a nephew, Rick Coates.<\/p>\n
