{"id":15296,"date":"2015-07-23T10:29:49","date_gmt":"2015-07-23T15:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/obituary\/louis-p-lou-iaquinta\/"},"modified":"2015-07-23T10:29:49","modified_gmt":"2015-07-23T15:29:49","slug":"louis-p-lou-iaquinta","status":"publish","type":"obituary","link":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/obituary\/louis-p-lou-iaquinta\/","title":{"rendered":"Louis  P. &#8220;Lou&#8221; Iaquinta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Louis P. \u201cLou\u201d Iaquinta, age 89 of Kenosha, was born to eternal life Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at United Hospital System \u2013 Kenosha Hospital Campus, surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Kenosha on December 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Francesco and Agostina (Arrigo) Iaquinta.\u00a0 He was a 1944 graduate of Kenosha High School and attended U.W.-Madison.<\/p>\n<p>On January 6, 1951 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he was united in marriage with his \u201cprecious love\u201d Dorothy Snowtala.\u00a0 They were happily married for 64 years and accordingly to Lou, Dorothy was his \u201cfavorite hobby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For many years, he was a well-known State Farm Insurance Agent.\u00a0 He clearly loved his job and was a people person.\u00a0 Before State Farm, he was employed at Williams Sausage Shop.<\/p>\n<p>Religion and faith always played an important role in Lou\u2019s life.\u00a0 At the young age of seven, he approached his parents and asked to be baptized Catholic.\u00a0 He was a member of St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church and the former St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.\u00a0 Lou faithfully served as a Trustee, Eucharistic Minister, and Parish Council member.<\/p>\n<p>A Romance language aficionado, Lou was a native Italian language speaker. In his younger years, he played baseball and was the biggest fan at his children\u2019s events, including sporting events.\u00a0 He was a light-hearted, loving family man always ready to share a laugh with his loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>He will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Dorothy Iaquinta, his five sons, L. John (Janis), Eugene J. (Carol), Lawrence J., Vincent J. (Heidi) and James J. (Kim) Iaquinta, his daughter, Mary Ann Iaquinta, his nine grandchildren, Kendall and Kelly Iaquinta, Laura (Todd) Westergard, Phillip Iaquinta, Kristen (Andy) Schulz, Jaclyn (Steve) Hansen and Jacob, Rachel and Connor Iaquinta, his great grandchildren, Quinn, Lucas, Reagan, August and Georgia, and his many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James L. Iaquinta.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lou\u2019s family expresses profound gratitude to the compassionate care given to him by the staff of St. Joseph\u2019s Home for the Aged. We also wish to thank the many caring and wonderful people at Kenosha Hospital who supported us during this difficult time. <\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass.
