Brenna Lynn Yontz, age 54, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away following a battle with cancer on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
Born on October 6, 1961, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, she was the daughter of James F. and Deanna K. (Stretch) Ruble.\u00a0 As a toddler, her family relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she was educated and was a graduate of Columbia City Joint High School.\u00a0 Brenna received her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Sociology and her Master\u2019s degree in Career and Family Counseling from Indiana University.<\/p>\n
On June 9, 1984, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was united in marriage to Timothy Yontz.\u00a0 They were blessed with two children and recently celebrated their 31st<\/sup> anniversary.<\/p>\n Brenna was a member of Great Lakes Church, where she led growth groups and played Mahjong and Bunco with her church friends.\u00a0 She was also a member of the Kenosha Pops Band, playing the clarinet and she selflessly volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity.<\/p>\n Brenna will be remembered for her love for family. She loved the outdoors where she spent time vegetable and flower gardening, hiking and taking road trips.\u00a0 Brenna also had a passion for reading, cooking and loved to crochet.<\/p>\n She will be deeply missed by her husband, Tim; her son, Brent (Jill Jones) and daughter, Bess (James) Bierly; her father, James F. Ruble; two brothers, Brian (Rochelle) and Bryce Ruble; and two sisters, Lorinda (Anthony) Lee and Linette (Sam) Manwaring.\u00a0 Brenna was further survived by several loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.<\/p>\n She was preceded in death by her mother, Deanna Kay Ruble.<\/p>\n Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI.
