He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Mae (nee: Cooper), and his brothers and sisters. Loving father of James (Cindy) Kovacek. Proud grandfather of Jen (George) Gilmore and Steven Kovacek. Further survived by sister-in-law, Charlene Hendrickson, and many relatives and friends. Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a retiree from the U.S. Steel Mill, Waukegan, IL.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with full military honors following at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue.
