Vigansky"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Franz O. Vigansky, 74, died peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.\u00a0 He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly.<\/p>\n<p>A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Franz was born on March 7, 1942 to Paul and Agnus (Koehler) Vigansky.\u00a0 He attended local schools and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.\u00a0 He was also a graduate from DeVry Technical Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Franz served our country in the U.S. Army.\u00a0 After his honorable discharge, he was a member of The Army National Guard of Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>On July 16, 1982 at St. Mary Lutheran Church, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diane Makouske.<\/p>\n<p>He worked with his father and brothers at Vigansky\u2019s TV and Appliances, which closed in 1991.\u00a0 He then started his own small business, Vigansky TelCom, Inc., where he installed voicemail and telecommunication systems for many businesses throughout southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.\u00a0 His business was more than a profession, but also a hobby he enjoyed immensely.<\/p>\n<p>Franz was always an avid outdoorsman.\u00a0 He enjoyed camping and canoeing up in the Boundary Waters of Canada, with his wife and all 5 of his boys at one time or another.\u00a0 He also enjoyed hiking and deer hunting where he enjoyed not only the hunt, but the beauty of the woods and nature where he felt closest to God.\u00a0 Franz loved to travel, and attained his lifelong dream of going to Alaska.\u00a0 He was an active member of Kenosha Rotary-West where for many years he enjoyed playing DJ at the annual Rotary Softball Tournaments and at the Tremper High School basketball games during the time his sons played ball.<\/p>\n<p>Franz is survived by his loving wife, Diane Vigansky; five sons, Daniel (Donna), Paul, Justin (Kori Naydihor), Erick and Alex Vigansky; his two brothers, Gerald (Helen) and Gregg (Joyce) Vigansky; and his grandchildren, Dawnielle, Isaiah and Aria Vigansky.<\/p>\n<p><em>The family wishes to thank Dr. Malik Bandealy, Michelle Huver, PA-C and staff, Dr. Mark Waples, Dr. Ikram Rashid, and the nurses and staff at Hospice Alliance, Inc. for their compassionate care.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral Services honoring Franz\u2019s life will be held Monday, June 20, 2016.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 Block of 39th Avenue.
