Edward L. Streit, age 80, died on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 at his\u00a0home surrounded by the love of his family.<\/p>\n
Ed was born on October 26, 1935 in Chicago, the son of the late Leon and Sedella (Pins) Streit. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Marquette University. He received his CPA certification on December 15th, 1964.<\/p>\n
On September 1, 1956, Ed was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Rierdon at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI. In September of this year, they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage and a never ending love affair.\u00a0\u00a0Their union was blessed with three children.<\/p>\n
A CPA for over 40 years, Ed was employed with Putta and\u00a0Kelsey of Barrington, who later merged with\u00a0RSM McGladrey.<\/p>\n
A longtime member of St Mary’s Catholic Parish, Woodstock, his faith was strong and constant.<\/p>\n
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; his children, Barbara (Gerard) Sieck of Chicago, Robert (Mary)\u00a0Streit\u00a0of LaGrange, IL and Mark ( Kathy) Streit of Park Ridge, IL along with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas, who died at the age of 2 in 1933, and a\u00a0granddaughter, Gabrielle,\u00a0who died in infancy in 1988.<\/p>\n

Funeral Services honoring Edward will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Private interment will be held in Hickory Cemetery, Suring, WI.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
