Susan J. Griebel, age 64 of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at United Hospital Systems-St. Catherine\u2019s Hospital Campus.<\/p>\n
Born in Racine on April 24, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Allan F. and Marguerite (Murphy) Healy. She was a graduate of Horlick High School and continued her education at Gateway Technical College where she received her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. Sue moved to Kenosha in 1981.<\/p>\n
On October 11, 1983 in St. Augustine, FL, she was united in marriage to Delmar F. Griebel, Jr. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2002.<\/p>\n
She was employed as a licensed practical nurse with Children\u2019s Health Center in Gurnee, IL. Previously, she was employed with the Blood Center of Southeast Wisconsin. Sue also was president and co-owner of American Telecommunication Corp. with her husband, Del.<\/p>\n
Sue was the past President of the P.L.A.V. George Washington Chapter 34 Ladies Auxiliary on a national, state and local level. She was also a life member of the V.F.W. Post #1865 Ladies Auxiliary.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her aunt, Patricia Murphy; many cousins; four step-children; nine step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; and many loyal and close friends.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son; and many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.<\/p>\n
A special thank you to the ICU nursing staff at St. Catherine\u2019s Hospital and to Dr. Shepler, Dr. Ahuja, and Dr. Bloom for their kind and compassionate care of Susan.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A memorial service honoring Sue\u2019s life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7300 39th Ave. Private inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Racine.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Susan J.
