Judith Maraccini, age 78, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Hospice Alliance\u2019s Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.<\/p>\n
Born in Milwaukee on May 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Ciesieski) Kasza.\u00a0 Raised and educated in Milwaukee, she was a 1956 graduate of Pius XI High School.<\/p>\n
On May 9, 1959, she was united in marriage to Oreste John \u201cRusty\u201d Maraccini in West Allis, WI.\u00a0 They were blessed with four children and 49 years of marriage before he passed away on September 21, 2008.<\/p>\n
Judith was employed with KUSD, working for Mary D. Bradford High School.\u00a0 She began her career as the Secretary of the English Department and retired from the Main Office.\u00a0 She also selflessly volunteered her time at Harvey Elementary School.<\/p>\n
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Kenosha Homemaker\u2019s Club, \u201cBright Horizons\u201d and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Judith was a talented knitter, donating mittens to students and also loved to crochet.\u00a0 She spent over 15 years vacationing up north at Plum Lake in Sayner, WI, and cherished the time spent with her family.<\/p>\n
Judith will be deeply missed by her four children, Michael (Anne) Maraccini, Susan (Thomas) Sheskey, Steven and Edward (Cheryl) Maraccini; a sister, Joyce Scarpace and seven grandchildren, Rusten, Garrett and Spencer Sheskey, Kaleb, Jared, Nick and Madeline Maraccini.<\/p>\n
Funeral services honoring the life of Judith will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 beginning with a prayer service at 12:15 p.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224-30th Avenue, Kenosha.
