Kendall M. Gentz, age 72 of Pleasant Prairie, died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Brookside Care Center.<\/p>\n
Born in Kenosha on July 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Leoma (Voster) Davis.\u00a0 She attended St. Joseph High School and was a graduate of Kenosha Teachers College.\u00a0\u00a0 She did her undergraduate studies at Carthage College and received her Master\u2019s Degree from U.W. \u2013 Whitewater.<\/p>\n
On September 10, 1965 in Waukegan, IL, she was united in marriage to Keith Gentz.\u00a0 Sadly, after 30 years of marriage, Keith preceded her in death on September 25, 1995.<\/p>\n
Kendall was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Paris Consolidated School District.<\/p>\n
She was a faithful member of St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church where she involved herself in many of the church\u2019s activities.\u00a0 Kendall loved all things Irish; especially Celtic music.\u00a0 In her younger years, Kendall played league volleyball.\u00a0 She liked playing cards, reading and for over 40 years, she owned and loved the \u201cGentle Giant\u201d canine breed, Great Dane.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Joy) Gentz and her aunt, Betty Edquist.<\/p>\n
Funeral services honoring Kendall\u2019s life will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass.
