Dunn, age 86 of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Sheboygan Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Kenosha on April 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Teofil \u201cTed\u201d and Matylda (Hammaciewicz) Szelonski.\u00a0\u00a0 She attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.\u00a0 Irene continued her education and received a Bachelor\u2019s Degree from The University of Charleston, formerly Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV.<\/p>\n<p>In college, Irene met the love of her life, Robert L. Dunn.\u00a0 After their graduation, they were married on September 20, 1952 at St. Casimir\u2019s Catholic Church.\u00a0 Kenosha was their new home until their retirement, and then they lived in Hollywood, FL.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Sadly, after 61 years of marriage, Robert preceded her in death on March 8, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Irene was employed with various companies that included: Kenosha Joint Services, City of Kenosha, Ocean Spray, Kenosha Beef, Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue and Snap-On Tools.<\/p>\n<p>She was a member of the former St. Casimir Catholic Church in Kenosha and Church of Little Flower in Hollywood, FL.\u00a0 Irene was also a member of the Junior Women\u2019s Club and volunteered with Kenosha Meals on Wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Irene was very supportive of her children\u2019s activities.\u00a0 She especially loved to attend her son\u2019s many sporting events and cheer him onto victory.\u00a0 She enjoyed spending time attending Art Fairs with her husband and collecting Blenko Glass.\u00a0 Irene made the best apple pie and delicious apple butter.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her two daughters, Lisabeth Eckola of Sheboygan and Malissa (Mike Timme) Dunn of Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>Along with her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. Dunn, III and John \u201cJ.D.\u201d Dunn; her son-in-law, Jim Eckola; and her brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell (Charolette) Szelonski.<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>In accordance with Irene\u2019s wishes, private funeral services will be held.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irene M.
