Jessie C. Capps, age 88 of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Hospice Alliance, Inc.\/Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, with his family at his side.<\/p>\n
Born in Nettleton, MS on July 25, 1929, he was the son of the late James W. and Mittie M. (Chandler) Capps.<\/p>\n
Jessie honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.<\/p>\n
On December 20, 1952, he was united in marriage to Beulah Bridgewater.\u00a0 After 48 years of marriage, Beulah preceded him in death on September 23, 2001.<\/p>\n
Jessie was employed with AMC\/Chrysler as a painter, retiring after 33 years of service.<\/p>\n
He was a former member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.\u00a0 He found great joy fishing, hunting and being with his family.<\/p>\n
Jessie is survived by his daughter, Sandra Capps of Kenosha; step-daughter, Bonnie (nee: Bowman) Gathings of Pleasant Prairie; his grandchildren, Debbie (nee: Gathings) Otterness of Oakland, AR and Holly (nee: Gathings) Siewert of Racine; four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue Dullum and Geraldine Galloway, both of Aberdeen, MS.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by seven brothers; one sister; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kenzie Smith.<\/p>\n
Funeral Services honoring Jessie\u2019s life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave. Kenosha,WI. Interment with full military honors will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
