{"id":14078,"date":"2018-01-19T09:01:45","date_gmt":"2018-01-19T15:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/obituary\/julia-may-dunbar\/"},"modified":"2018-01-19T09:01:45","modified_gmt":"2018-01-19T15:01:45","slug":"julia-may-dunbar","status":"publish","type":"obituary","link":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/obituary\/julia-may-dunbar\/","title":{"rendered":"Julia May Dunbar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Julia May Dunbar, age 92, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.<\/p>\n<p>A lifelong Kenosha County resident, she was born in New Muenster on January 16, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Vos) May.<\/p>\n<p>On June 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Maurice Dunbar.\u00a0 He preceded her in death on April 28, 1990.<\/p>\n<p>Julia was employed as an administrative secretary with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, retiring in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was a dedicated church volunteer.\u00a0 Julia loved to golf and play bridge.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her children, Maureen Streed, Thomas (Cynthia) Dunbar, Ellen Dunbar, William (Paulette) Dunbar, Jane (Thomas-Deceased) Otto and Joan (Scott) Stein; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ruth Horvat and Theresa McCarthy; her brother-in-law, William McCarthy; her sister-in-law, Joan May; and many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marise McCarthy; two brothers, Oswald May and Edward May, Jr.; her son-in-law, Thomas Otto; and many other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>A Memorial Service honoring Julia\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7300 Block of 39th Avenue.
