Mary J. Weiser, age 79, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Aurora-St. Luke\u2019s Medical Center, Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
Mary was born in Kenosha on April 9, 1938, and was the daughter of the late John K. and Frances B. (Zielenski) Shipman. <\/p>\n
On June 15, 1963 at St. Therese Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Anthony W. Weiser. Sadly, after 52 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on August 12, 2015. <\/p>\n
For 17 years, Mary dedicated herself to being the office manager at St. Matthew\u2019s Episcopal Church. Previously, she was also the office manager with Children\u2019s Service Society of Wisconsin in Racine. <\/p>\n
She was a faithful member of St. Matthew\u2019s Episcopal Church where she had served her church in various capacities. Specifically, she was a past member of the St. Matthew\u2019s Vestry, Junior Warden of St. Matthew\u2019s Church and recipient of the St. Matthew\u2019s Distinguished Service Cross. <\/p>\n
Every Thursday, she routinely met with her friends from high school that were nicknamed the \u201cGirls of 56\u201d. Mary was a Packers and Cubs fan and she loved being involved in her families many activities; especially with her grandchildren. <\/p>\n
Mary will be missed and always remembered by her three children, John R. (Gina) Weiser, David A. (Kimberleigh) Weiser and Sharon R. (David) Long as well has her honorary daughter, Kathryn M. (Jeffrey) Pirtle. She was cherished by her six grandchildren, Rebecca Weiser, Megan Pirtle, Sean Weiser, Alison Weiser, Jacob Long and Elizabeth Long.<\/p>\n
She is further survived by her sister, Jean Newport; her goddaughter, Linda Johnson; and many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ikram Rashid, Dr. Nicholas Armstrong, the staffs of Aurora St. Luke\u2019s Hospital in Milwaukee, and the SICU Department for the comforting care they provided.<\/em> <\/p>\n Funeral services honoring the life of Mary will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew\u2019s Episcopal Church, 5900 7th Avenue. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service. Private interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Mary J.
