LaVerne J. Zuehlsdorf, age 94 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Angelsgrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.<\/p>\n
Born in Kenosha on October 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Anna (Johnson) Anthonsen.\u00a0 She was a graduate from Mary D. Bradford High School.<\/p>\n
On January 26, 1945 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Francis Zuehlsdorf.\u00a0 After 70 years of marriage, Francis preceded her in death on February 15, 2015.<\/p>\n
LaVerne was employed with Kenosha Auto Transport as a receptionist.<\/p>\n
She loved her faith and was blessed to be a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.\u00a0 LaVerne was a member of the auxiliary to the American Postal Workers Union.\u00a0 LaVerne selflessly volunteered her time helping with the Kenosha Soup Kitchen and Meals on Wheels.<\/p>\n
LaVerne was a talented crafter and seamstress.\u00a0 She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and furniture making.\u00a0\u00a0 LaVerne was blessed with the ability to cook and bake many family favorites.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her son, Alan Zuehlsdorf; her daughter, Jan (Bill) Arneberg; her grandchildren, Scott Arneberg and Sara (Christopher) Kaiser; and her three great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents and husband, Francis, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.<\/p>\n
Funeral Services honoring LaVerne\u2019s life will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
