Frieda Mae Figas, age 91, went to her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2018.<\/p>\n
She was born June 10, 1927 to Adolph and Clara Rickman of St Louis, Missouri.<\/p>\n
Frieda married Gustav L Figas on June 23, 1946.<\/p>\n
Frieda who preferred to be called Fritzie, worked as a receptionist\/secretary but her favorite job was housewife and mother.<\/p>\n
Fritzie\u2019s hobbies were crocheting, quilting, and she loved to read.\u00a0 She was very involved with the Lutheran Church and Women\u2019s Circle.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her son, Fred (Sue) Figas; her daughters, Barbara (Steve) Lindblom, and Mary Monson;\u00a07 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gus; her brother, Roy Rickman and sister-in-law, Loretta.<\/p>\n
Funeral services in honor of Frieda\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul\u2019s Lutheran Church, 8760 37th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53142.<\/p>\n
