Catherine Grace Schroeder, age 22 of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hospice Alliance, Inc., Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie with her loving family at her side.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 .<\/p>\n
Born in Kenosha on March 19, 1996, she was the daughter of Charles E. Schroeder, Jr. and Valerie L. (nee: McGruder) Schroeder.\u00a0 She attended and served on student council at Wheatland Elementary School and was a 2014 graduate of Westosha Central High School.\u00a0 Catherine was a contender for Central High\u2019s Homecoming Queen.\u00a0 She was thrilled to have been voted the first runner up.<\/p>\n
Catherine excelled in sports and was a gifted softball, basketball and volleyball player.\u00a0 She liked to fish and camp and had been the recipient of a trip to Minocqua by The Make a Wish Foundation.\u00a0 Catherine was an avid reader, saxophone player and video game enthusiast.\u00a0 Catherine had a special love for horses and when she was in 4-H, she showed her horse, Copper Delta Lady.\u00a0 \u00a0She enjoyed soapbox derby racing and twice attended the Soapbox Derby Nationals in Akron, OH.<\/p>\n
Catherine\u2019s greatest joy was the times she spent with her extended family.\u00a0 She will be remembered for her smile and her attitude to make others feel happy.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her parents, Charles and Valerie Schroeder; her sister, Cecelia (Tyler) Olsen; her brother, Magnus Charles Schroeder; her paternal grandparents, Charles \u201cChuck\u201d and Mary Ann (Nee: McKenna) Schroeder; and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Carmen (nee: Boucher) McGruder.<\/p>\n
Catherine is further survived by her aunts and uncles, Victoria McGruder, Michelle Schroeder, Debbie (Dave) Bruzas and Carrie Schroeder; and her cousins, Alex, Matthew, Ben and Gennie.<\/p>\n
