Mary V. Safago, age 100, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at The Manor of Kenosha.<\/p>\n
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Mary was born on February 2, 1918; the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Chmielewski) Wawiorka.<\/p>\n
On September 13, 1941, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Safago.\u00a0 Blessed with three children and 44 years together; Mary was a loving homemaker for her family. Sadly Joseph passed away in 1985.<\/p>\n
Mary \u00a0is survived by her children, Judith Zahn, Ruth (David) Van Lone and Michael (Lisa) Safago; grandchildren, James, David and Michael Zahn, AnnCatherine Downing and Jennifer Bartlett; \u00a0and great grandchildren, Chris, Karlie, Connor, Elizabeth, Andrew and Luke.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters; four brothers and a son-in-law Howard Zahn.<\/p>\n
Funeral services honoring Mary\u2019s life will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224 30th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
