Merlin \u201cMerl\u201d G. Hall, age 78 of Kenosha, died on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Froedtert South \u2013 Kenosha Hospital Campus.<\/p>\n
Born in Barnesville, OH on October 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Dean and Edna (Hall) Hall.\u00a0 As a child, he moved with his family to Burlington and he graduated from Burlington High School.<\/p>\n
On August 16, 1986 in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Ellen Chamberlin.<\/p>\n
Merl was a member of CrossWay Community Church.\u00a0 He selflessly was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, the Civil War Museum and the Kenosha Public Library.<\/p>\n
He loved golfing, gardening; especially vegetables, and trying his skills completing jigsaw puzzles. \u00a0Merl was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Packers, the Brewers and the Bucks.<\/p>\n
Merl is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Hall; his daughter, Stephanie (Michael) O\u2019Connor; his two stepdaughters, Nita (Tim) Becker and Cori (Paul) Schoenke; his four grandchildren, George and Angela Becker and Cailin and Meagan O\u2019Connor; and his great grandson, Benson.<\/p>\n
He is further survived by his two sisters, Deanna (Fritz) Barels and Joyce (Len) Lewandowski; and many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darwin Hall.<\/p>\n
Funeral Services honoring Merl\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at CrossWay Community Church, 13905 75th St.\u00a0 Private entombment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.\u00a0 A visitation for Merl will be held on Saturday, August 17th<\/sup> at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.\u00a0 The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials to Meals on Wheels, 7730 Sheridan Rd., Kenosha, WI 53143, would be appreciated.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Merlin \u201cMerl\u201d G.
