Young"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Francis R. \u201cFrank\u201d Young, age 97, passed away peacefully at The Addison of Pleasant Prairie on Friday, September 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Kenosha on June 29, 1923, he was the son of the late, Francis and Lilias (Crawford) Young. He attended local schools graduating from Mary D. Bradford, the class of 1941.<\/p>\n<p>He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp as a Private First Class from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. His career with the City of Kenosha began on November 1, 1946 and Frank retired as the Assistant Fire Chief on November 1, 1983.<\/p>\n<p>In 1950, Frank married Edith Englund. Together they raised five children until her death on April 30, 1977. He later married Maxine Young in Waukegan, IL and she passed away in 1998.<\/p>\n<p>Frank was a Charter member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church and a lifelong member of the VFW, Post 1865. He continually gave back to the Kenosha Community as a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge #0367 and the Tripoli Scottish Shriner\u2019s. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking. Frank was an avid reader too, who worked many jigsaw and crossword puzzles.<\/p>\n<p>Left to carry on Frank\u2019s legacy are his children, Walter \u201cAl\u201d Litz, Robert Young, Sherry (Warren Diemer) Fox and Janice Young; seven grandchildren, Karen, Jeff, Rob, Donny, Rick, Ray and Adam; step grandchildren, Christopher and Austin along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and his sweetheart, Mary.<\/p>\n<p>Along with his parents and wives, Frank was preceded in death by a son, Ronald, in 1983; his siblings, Jean Scholtz, Lillian Grube, William Young, in infancy and a grandson, Robby Young.<\/p>\n<p><em>The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Joseph Paukner and staff at Aurora and Dr. Sussy King and Michelene Larrabee at Bluestone Physicians service for the care of Frank. Also, a warm thank you to the amazing staff at the Addison for their excellent care, especially to Frank\u2019s \u201cangels\u201d who watched over him; it is now his turn to watch over all of you. Special thanks to Deanna, Jennifer, Becca and Steve from Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care during the last two months along with Chaplain Nancy for her comforting prayers and visits. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral services honoring Francis\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.<\/p>\n<p>Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation for Francis will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>The family\u00a0suggest in lieu of flowers, to direct memorials in Frank\u2019s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children of Chicago, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.<\/p>\n<p>Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time.\u00a0 For the safety of our guests, you may be asked to wait outside.\u00a0 Social distancing will be maintained and those in attendance are required to wear a face covering.\u00a0 We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Francis R. \u201cFrank\u201d Young, age 97, passed away peacefully at The Addison of Pleasant Prairie on Friday, September 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
