{"id":12251,"date":"2021-11-01T20:35:57","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T01:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/obituary\/leah-mullane\/"},"modified":"2021-11-01T20:35:57","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T01:35:57","slug":"leah-mullane","status":"publish","type":"obituary","link":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/obituary\/leah-mullane\/","title":{"rendered":"Leah Mullane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leah Rae Mullane, age 83, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at home.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Farmington, WI on November 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Leah (Higgins) Richter.\u00a0 Leah was a graduate of St. Henry Elementary School, Watertown High School, and a 1959 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Education.<\/p>\n<p>Leah met Jerry Mullane in college where they were brought together by Leah\u2019s friend, Rose and Jerry\u2019s friend, George.\u00a0 On June 27, 1959, they were united in marriage at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, WI.\u00a0 They were blessed with four wonderful children and celebrated 61 years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Leah was employed at the Oconomowoc School District after graduation from UW Whitewater until starting their family.\u00a0 She enjoyed raising their four children and began substitute teaching for Kenosha Unified School District after their children were all in school.\u00a0 She then taught full time at St. Thomas Elementary and St. Joseph Interparish Jr. High until her retirement in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Leah was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and participated in many home and school activities.\u00a0 She was a member of the Catholic Women\u2019s Club and Adventures in Lifelong Learning at UW Parkside.<\/p>\n<p>She enjoyed many happy vacations with family and friends in Crivitz, WI, wonderful trips to Europe, and other beautiful destinations in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Her family was her most treasured blessing.\u00a0 Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Michael (Heidi) Mullane, Kathleen Mullane-Joyal, Kevin (Tracy) Mullane and Maureen (Todd) Pierce; her grandchildren, Caitlin and Meghan Mullane, Henri and Lucas Joyal, Molly Mullane, Nicholas, Sean, Matthew and Jake Pierce; her siblings, Donna (Robert) Radtke and Stephen (Vickie) Richter along with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Along with her parents, Leah is preceded in death by her husband, Jerold Mullane; her brother, Larry Richter; her son-in-law, Mark Joyal; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Richter, Sharon Dickmann, and Sandra Tighe; her brothers-in-law, Patrick Mullane, Donald Dickmann, Randall Pittner, Richard Tighe, and James Mullane, and treasured aunts and uncles.<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Memorial services honoring Leah\u2019s life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45<sup>th<\/sup> Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at the church.\u00a0 The service may be viewed via livestream on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. on the following link <a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/PiaseckiFuneralHome\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">facebook.com\/PiaseckiFuneralHome\/live\/<\/a>.
