{"id":12240,"date":"2021-11-09T15:10:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T21:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/obituary\/charles-leffelman\/"},"modified":"2021-11-09T15:10:15","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T21:10:15","slug":"charles-leffelman","status":"publish","type":"obituary","link":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/obituary\/charles-leffelman\/","title":{"rendered":"Charles Leffelman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Charles Leffelman, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Aurora Health Center.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Libertyville, IL on March 14, 1936, Charles was the son of the late Edmond and Loretta (Blasius) Leffelman.\u00a0 He was a graduate of St. Mary\u2019s Grade School and High School in Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>Chuck served his country in the U. S. Army as a Specialist 4<sup>th<\/sup> Class for three years before being honorably discharged on August 7, 1961.<\/p>\n<p>In September 1959, Chuck was united in marriage to Mary Kolnik.\u00a0 They were blessed with two children, Robert and Michael.\u00a0 Mary preceded him in death on February 7, 1963.\u00a0 On October 31, 1964 Chuck married Jean Meyers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton.\u00a0 Their union was blessed with 57 years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>He was an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and served as an usher for 30 years.\u00a0 Chuck and Jean were in the Adult Choir together and volunteered at Aurora Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Chuck was employed by MacWhyte for 36 years retiring on April 23, 1999.\u00a0 He enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes, reading, bowling (his high game being 299) and back in the day, CB radios.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Michael (Lisa Dukowitz) Leffelman of Burlington, Katherine (Vincent) Gloria of Kenosha, Pamela (Mark) Studrawa of Kenosha, Brian (Debbie Miles-Garbie) Leffelman of Burlington, Tina (Robert) Fitzgerald of Racine; his seven grandchildren; his one great granddaughter and his brother, John Leffelman.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Robert Leffelman and his sister, Marilyn Stolp.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral services honoring Charles\u2019s life will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45<sup>th<\/sup> Street, Kenosha, WI.\u00a0 Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass.<\/p>\n<p>Inurnment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation for Charles will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI concluding with full military honors.<\/p>\n<p>Casual or Packer apparel is encouraged.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charles Leffelman, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Aurora Health Center.
