{"id":12227,"date":"2021-11-20T21:36:54","date_gmt":"2021-11-21T03:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/obituary\/ann-dobrinska\/"},"modified":"2021-11-20T21:36:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-21T03:36:54","slug":"ann-dobrinska","status":"publish","type":"obituary","link":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/obituary\/ann-dobrinska\/","title":{"rendered":"Ann Dobrinska"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ann Helene (Goodman) Dobrinska, age 93, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Pleasant Prairie.<\/p>\n<p>Born April 18, 1928 to the late Clarence and Gertrude (Reith) Goodman in Kenosha, Ann attended St. James Elementary and graduated from Bradford High School.\u00a0 She attended Gateway Technical College in the Police Science Program.<\/p>\n<p>Ann was united in marriage to Ronald Osborn in 1946, Charles Dickinson in 1950, and Eugene Dobrinska in 1978.<\/p>\n<p>Ann\u2019s first job was with Bell Telephone as an operator; being at the switchboard when the end of WWII was declared was an exciting milestone in her life. In 1963, Ann was employed with the Kenosha County Sheriff\u2019s Department as the Detective Bureau secretary.\u00a0 She celebrated her retirement in 1986, after twenty-three years in service to the department.<\/p>\n<p>Upon her retirement, she enjoyed trips to the South Pacific and Europe, where she had the privilege of meeting Pope John Paul II.\u00a0 Her hobbies included cross stich, traveling, reading, playing cards and bingo, and going to casinos.\u00a0 Since 1994, Ann has also been a devoted volunteer at the Shalom Center and Kenosha Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.<\/p>\n<p>Ann\u2019s proudest achievement is having an accomplished, loving family. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. She was so very proud of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and for what each of them has become. Ann is especially thankful for the lovely ladies in her son\u2019s lives, and for the way they raised their children.<\/p>\n<p>Left to comfort one another with cherished memories of Ann are her sons, Charles Dickinson of Kenosha, Richard (Joan) Osborn of Waunakee, WI, Robert (Margaret) Osborn of Longmont, CO, Leif (Ruth) Dickinson of Kenosha, Paul (Martha) Dickinson of Chicago, IL; her 14 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her half-sister, Kay \u201cSunny\u201d Gilliam of Birmingham, AL, and her half-brother, Dan Goodman of New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents and husband, Eugene, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Mathey, and her son, David Dickinson.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral services honoring Ann\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.<\/p>\n<p>Interment will take place in St. George Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation for Ann will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial gifts may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children\u2019s Hospital <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stjude.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.stjude.org<\/a>, or Hospice Alliance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hospicealliance.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.hospicealliance.org<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ann Helene (Goodman) Dobrinska, age 93, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Pleasant Prairie.
