James (Jim) Steven Zaucha waited not a moment to run into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 5, 2022 after a very brief illness.\u00a0 Jim was born on October 22, 1968 to Edwin and Gertrude Zaucha and grew up in Mundelein IL.\u00a0 He graduated from Illinois State University in 1991 with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology \/ SEQ Construction.\u00a0 Jim accepted Jesus into his heart in 1996 while attending Cornerstone Community Church.\u00a0 His passion to live for the Lord was evident to family and friends.\u00a0 Jim was an avid fisherman and loved to be on the water \u2026 small lakes or Lake Michigan \u2026 it didn\u2019t matter, as long as he was catching fish!\u00a0 At the time of Jim\u2019s passing, he was employed by Allstate Insurance Company, Claims.<\/p>\n
Jim married the love of his life (Judy Ptasienski) on July 11, 1998. \u00a0Their marriage and their commitment to Jesus were their gift to each other.\u00a0 Both Jim and Judy were members of the Worship Team at Cornerstone \u2026 Judy sang and Jim played the drums, both using their gifts for the Lord.<\/p>\n
Jim is survived by his wife, Judy; his mother, Gertrude; his brother, Gary (Sugar) Zaucha; his sister Nancy (Gary) Grede and many nieces and nephews.\u00a0 Jim was preceded in death by his father, Edwin; his brother Russell (Sharon) Zaucha and his brother Dennis (Kathie) Zaucha.<\/p>\n
Jim and Judy\u2019s deepest prayer is that God will use Jim\u2019s passing and the miraculous stories of God\u2019s goodness in their lives to bring others to faith in Jesus.<\/p>\n
