Corinne C.E. Pocan, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI.<\/p>\n
Born on February 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J.E. and Carrie (Matson) Waldow, Sr.\u00a0 Corinne was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI.<\/p>\n
On July 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to William S. Pocan.\u00a0 Sadly, he passed away on January 27, 1991.<\/p>\n
Corinne was the owner of a small business, Dove Beauty Supplies in Kenosha, WI, until her retirement in 1988.<\/p>\n
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.\u00a0 Corinne enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her sons, the Honorable William (Gerald Waupoose) Pocan and Congressman Mark (Philip Frank) Pocan and several nieces and nephews. William is a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge. Mark is the United States Representative from Wisconsin\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> Congressional District.<\/p>\n In addition to her parents, Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Pocan; her sister and brother-in-law, Mardell (Lloyd) Wiegert; her brother and sister-in-law, Arthur (Gladys) Waldow, Jr. and sister, Alaina Sorensen.<\/p>\n Per Corinne\u2019s wishes, funeral services honoring her life will be held privately.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Corinne C.E.
