Regena \u201cAnn\u201d Cameron (Stricklen) of Bristol, WI was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 7:32 p.m. as her loving family stood by her side.<\/p>\n
Ann was born on August 31, 1950, she grew up as a child in Tupelo, MS and later moved to Kenosha, WI as a teen.\u00a0 She graduated from Bradford High School, and it is there where she met the love of her life Cecil Cameron and married on August 17, 1968 and raised three wonderful children.\u00a0 Ann was a lifelong member of Parkside Baptist Church.\u00a0 She served there in many capacities but will always be known for the work in the nursery where she held and calmed many babies.<\/p>\n
Ann was a nurse with a huge heart for her patients.\u00a0 She wore many hats throughout her nursing career and later retired in August 2015 from Aurora Burlington Medical Center.\u00a0 She also was the neighborhood nurse to many answering questions and helping with minor injuries.\u00a0 Ann was also one of the bravest women you would ever meet being the first female FF\/EMT in Kenosha County where she served on the Bristol Fire Dept. setting a precedence to all females that followed.\u00a0 She may have been the tiniest one on the department, but she was tough and mighty doing everything that everyone else did.\u00a0 In her retirement, she enjoyed sewing blankets, quilts, hats, scarves and many other things for babies and kids in the community as she never wanted to see a baby or child ever go without items to keep them warm.\u00a0 Ann won the prestigious Aurora star for this act before her retirement.\u00a0 Ann volunteered many hours working along side her own grandkids in KUSD schools, and the Boys and Girls Club, sewing many items for them to keep and to also donate to local hospitals, schools and community centers.<\/p>\n
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Cecil Cameron; her three children, Victor (Connie) Cameron, Billy (Renee) Cameron and Roxanne Schutzen; her eight grandchildren, Bailey, Tyler, Connor, Riley, Sarah, Madelyn, Alexis and Ryan.\u00a0 Ann is also survived by her three loving sisters, Shirley (Jackie) Kennedy, Mandy (Archie) Loomis and Mary Stricklen and lifelong friend Norma Meier.\u00a0 She is further survived by brother\/sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, friends and amazing co-workers.<\/p>\n
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roxy and Jefferson Stricklen, brother, Jefferson Lee Stricklen, sisters, Etny, Helen, Dorothy and Alice; father\/mother-in-law, Billy and Mary Cameron; sister-in-law, Lyda Moser and lifelong friend, Al Meier.<\/p>\n
The family would like to thank all the amazing Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Aurora Medical Center and Brookside Health & Rehab.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A celebration of life for Ann will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Redeemer Parkside Baptist Church, 2620 14th Place, Kenosha, WI.<\/p>\n A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.<\/p>\nInformaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n
