Fowler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ms.\u00a0Jessie\u00a0Ree\u00a0Fowler\u00a0was born\u00a0in Lonoke, AR\u00a0on May 5, 1919 to the late Abe and Martha Fowler. She and her twin brother James were the youngest of 15 children, whom all preceded her in death. \u00a0Jessie passed away on April 1, 2022 in Kenosha, WI, at the age of\u00a0102, surrounded by her loving family.<\/p>\n<p>Jessie and her family\u00a0moved to\u00a0College Station, AR,\u00a0where she attended\u00a0school.\u00a0In 1938, she married Lucious Leroy Powell,\u00a0and was\u00a0blessed with one child, Louise, whom she loved and cherished dearly.<\/p>\n<p>Jessie was a very outgoing, fun, and humble person. \u00a0Extending her kindness and compassion to many. \u00a0She raised chicken and geese and loved gardening.\u00a0Throughout her life,\u00a0she\u00a0worked at various companies in the areas of dry cleaning, pottery as well as shipping and handling. \u00a0Jessie, also served as the primary caregiver to her ailing mother. \u00a0She doted on her grandchildren, spoiling and loving them\u00a0as often as she could.<\/p>\n<p>Jessie was very independent and lived alone for many years.\u00a0A businesswoman in her own right, she owned and sold several properties.\u00a0In May 2008, she moved to Kenosha WI to live with her only child Louise.\u00a0She became a member of Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, WI under the leadership of Pastor Demetris Crum.<\/p>\n<p>Jessie was a member of\u00a0First Baptist,\u00a0Mt. Vernon Baptist\u00a0and\u00a0New\u00a0Hebron Baptist Church, where she\u00a0served\u00a0as an usher\u00a0and sang in the choir.\u00a0She was also a member\u00a0of Eastern Star\u00a0and\u00a0Twin City Singing Union of Little Rock, AR.\u00a0until moving to Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Louise\u00a0Powell\u00a0Davis;\u00a0grandchildren, Anthony (Danetta) Davis,\u00a0Rickey (Sheronda)\u00a0Davis,\u00a0Bonnie Bailey,\u00a0Connie\u00a0and Joselyn Davis.\u00a0A wonderful goddaughter, Barbara Marks, six\u00a0great-grandchildren and 10\u00a0great-\u00a0great-grandchildren\u00a0as well as several\u00a0family members and close friends.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by\u00a0fourteen\u00a0sisters and brothers, son-in-law, Johnnie Davis and\u00a0great-granddaughter,\u00a0Tionna\u00a0Sumerset.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Homegoing services honoring Jessie\u2019s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Second Baptist Church, 3925 32nd Ave, Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation for Jessie will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage those in attendance to wear a face covering, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ms.\u00a0Jessie\u00a0Ree\u00a0Fowler\u00a0was born\u00a0in Lonoke, AR\u00a0on May 5, 1919 to the late Abe and Martha Fowler.
