Owens, \u201cDyn-O-Mite,\u201d age 74, passed away at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n<p>He was born on April 21, 1948, in Jackson, TN to the late Ed Nolan and Everdean (Draper) Owens. He later moved to Chicago, Milwaukee and settled in Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>Alan and Margie shared 41 wonderful years together.<\/p>\n<p>Alan was a shipping and receiving clerk for American\/Chrysler Motors until his retirement.\u00a0 He was the owner and operator of Handyman Plus II, giving many a second opportunity for work and life. Alan was a strong supporter of the Democratic Party and Local 72 UAW.<\/p>\n<p>He grew up in and was a member of Church of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Alan was a super fanatic fan of the Chicago Bears, Milwaukee Bucks and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved his roses, flower and vegetable gardens \u2013 his lawn and garden stopped people in their tracks. He was honored to help people with their gardens. He loved to fish, and caught a Mahi Mahi that fed an entire wedding party at Arlan and Ingrid\u2019s wedding while in Mexico\u2026and that is no fisherman\u2019s tale.<\/p>\n<p>He was affectionately known as the Mayor of 19<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue. Alan truly loved his family and shared with others the importance of loving his fellow brothers and sisters. He loved providing for his grandkids and attended all of their events. They affectionately called him \u201cGrandpa Central.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alan will be missed by his loving wife, Margie; his children, Alan D. Owens, of Jackson TN, Alvin D. Owens, of Kenosha, WI, Arlan D. (Ingrid) Owens of Kenosha, WI, Lakisha M. Brantley-Roberts (Andre) of Mesquite \u00a0TX, Deedgra B. Sly-Lundasi (Thomas) of Oak Creek, WI, Reynaldo T. Brantley (Josie) of Racine, WI, Adrienne \u201cStuff\u201d Brown (Dontee\u2019) of Tinley Park, IL, Nokihomis T. Willis (Tracy) of Nashville, TN and Kimani J. Winfield of Milwaukee, WI; his sister, Joyce Owens of Queens, NY; and his best buddies, Grand Taylor a.k.a \u201cCool Breeze\u201d and Gordon Peters; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of special nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Along with his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his son, Cedric R. Brantley-Owens; his brothers, Billy Owens and Clarence Owens and his sisters, Clara Gray and Barbara Donnell.<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral services honoring Alan\u2019s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. April 24, 2023 at One Voice Church, 7506 25<sup>th<\/sup> Ave, Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>El entierro tendr\u00e1 lugar en Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation for Alan will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alan S.
