Schwarz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kenosha native John Paul (J.P.) Schwarz passed away at his Somers residence on Saturday, April 22, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>J.P., the son of John M. and Barbara K. Schwarz, was born on July 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 1984.\u00a0 As a child, J.P. played in several youth baseball and basketball programs.\u00a0 He attended Harvey and Somers Elementary, Bullen Jr. High and graduated from Reuther High School.<\/p>\n<p>After high school, J.P. enlisted in the U.S. Navy, completed Hospital Corpsman School, and served at Balboa and Walter Reed Hospitals,\u00a0providing four years of compassionate care to soldiers,\u00a0sailors,\u00a0and airmen returning from combat.\u00a0 He assisted in hundreds of surgeries and contributed to the medical recoveries of countless military\u00a0servicemen and servicewomen.\u00a0 He was repeatedly recognized for his performance and achieved the rank of Petty Officer during his five cumulative years of active-duty service.\u00a0 After returning to Kenosha and working several jobs, J.P. enrolled at Gateway Technical College and earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.\u00a0 He was subsequently employed at the Kenosha County Sheriff\u2019s Department for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Because of his quick wit and great sense of humor, J.P.\u2019s attendance at any gathering of family or friends was warmly welcomed.\u00a0 His personality was infectious, and he had a multitude of friends.\u00a0 He was a lifelong Packers and Brewers fan and took great pride in cooking for friends on his Blackstone Grill, hosting many backyard get-togethers.\u00a0 His trusted companion, Caine, a miniature American Eskimo dog, was at J.P.&#8217;s side for the last 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, J.P. is survived by his brothers Tony (wife, Stephanie and children Ava, Luke, Caris, Juliet, Livia, and James in Arlington, VA) and Nick (wife, Sheena and children Caden, Carter, Max and Nick, Jr. in Kenosha).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Funeral services honoring J.P.\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter\u2019s Catholic Church, 2224 30<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue, followed with full military honors.\u00a0 The Mass may be viewed via livestream on the following link <a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/PiaseckiFuneralHome\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">facebook.com\/PiaseckiFuneralHome\/live\/<\/a>.
