Ronald Taffora, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n
Born on July 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Anacleto and Edith (Barengo) Taffora.\u00a0 Ron attended Washington Junior High School and graduated from Bradford High School.<\/p>\n
On October 11, 1969, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Laudonio in Kenosha, WI.<\/p>\n
Ron proudly served his country as a PFC in the U.S. Army.<\/p>\n
He was employed as a Liquor Salesman for Edison\/Wirtz Beverages, until his retirement in 2013.<\/p>\n
Ron was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church. In addition, he also was a member of the National Hot Rod Association.<\/p>\n
He was a standout high school athlete in football and track and field; and played for the Kenosha City Softball League for Tirabassi. \u00a0Ron loved sports, specifically watching his children and grandchildren and was a competitive bike racer at Washington Bowl.\u00a0 He enjoyed dancing, sport cars and hot rods.<\/p>\n
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia of 54 years; his children, Lisa (Todd) Elsen and Brian (Kelli) Taffora; his grandchildren, Anthony (Megan) and Nicholas Elsen and Brylie, Brock and Brynn Taffora; his great grandchild, Colson Elsen and his brother, Raymond Taffora.<\/p>\n
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Taffora.<\/p>\n
