Weis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Corrine Elizabeth Weis, who peacefully left us on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 85.\u00a0 Born in Berwyn, IL on September 21, 1939, to the late Nick and Grace Liermann.\u00a0 Corrine was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.\u00a0 Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, and her spirit will forever linger in the hearts of family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>As 9-year-old sweethearts, Corrine shared her first kiss with the love of her life, Ralph Weis, and shortly after parted ways to attend different schools in Illinois and New York. Years later, they reunited in Milwaukee, in 1958, at a school celebration party and fell in love once again.\u00a0 The love birds united in marriage on September 1, 1962, and recently celebrated 62 wonderful years together.<\/p>\n<p>Known for her boundless compassion, sassy attitude, and an unwavering dedication to her family, Corrine cherished every moment spent with loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>Corrine was always on the hunt, shopping for different and unique things to decorate their remodeled &#8220;home sweet home.&#8221;\u00a0 As a young lady, she enjoyed bowling in local leagues with her friends and, in her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, spending time with the &#8220;5-0 Ladies Club,&#8221; scrapbooking, and sewing.\u00a0 She traveled the country with the &#8220;Sign Singers,&#8221; a choir comprised of signers spreading the word about Deaf awareness.\u00a0 Yet, Corrine&#8217;s greatest passion was making the most of each and every holiday, dressing up, decorating, and enthusiastically celebrating with her family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her entire life, Corrine always welcomed everyone into her home and made them feel like they were a one of her own, sharing with them laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Weis; her children, Patti (Don) Kremzar, Beth (Sorella Romero) Weis, Connie (Doug) Anderson, and Phil (Gary) Curtin-Weis; brother, Alan (Sue) Liermann; grandchildren, Kelli Weis, Brandon (Jillian) Anderson, Ashley (Nick) Sexton, Katie Kremzar, Kenny Kremzar, and Daylan (Halle) Harmeyer; great-grandchildren, Emmy Weis, Mikey Weis, Jaxon Weis-Peterson, Decker Harmeyer, and Canden Kremzar; and great-great grandson, Silas Weis.<\/p>\n<p>Corrine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara; and brother, Del.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Informaci\u00f3n del servicio<\/h3>\n<p>Memorial services honoring Corrine\u2019s life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024.\u00a0 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter\u2019s Catholic Church, 2224 30<sup>th<\/sup> Ave.<\/p>\n<p>A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.<\/p>\n<p>En lugar de flores, se agradecer\u00edan recuerdos a la familia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Corrine Elizabeth Weis, who peacefully left us on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 85.\u00a0 Born in Berwyn, IL on September 21, 1939, to the late Nick and Grace Liermann.\u00a0 Corrine was a loving wife,<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":7863,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"service-location":[],"class_list":["post-10962","obituary","type-obituary","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituary\/10962","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/obituary"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/obituary"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=10962"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7863"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10962"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"service-location","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kenoshafuneralhome.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/service-location?post=10962"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
