Helen Simsic, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Hospice Alliance Hospice House.<\/p>\n
Born on November 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Macska Kowalsky.<\/p>\n
On June 27, 1970, she was united in marriage to Ludwig Simsic.<\/p>\n
Helen was a lover of nature.\u00a0 She spent much of her time feeding birds, squirrels, rabbits and ducks.\u00a0 She took much pride in her flower garden, tending her blooms each morning.\u00a0 Helen was especially fond of her parrot, Coco.<\/p>\n
Helen took pride in her job with Chicago Lock.\u00a0 She worked in the shipping department for 21 years, earning the respect of her co-workers.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ludwig Simsic and her brother, Zigmund Kowalsky.<\/p>\n
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.<\/p>\n

Memorial services honoring Helen\u2019s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha.<\/p>\n
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.<\/p>\n
