septiembre 8, 2015

Veterano de EE.UU.
Todd C. Seitz, age 60, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Wiesbaden City HSK Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Born on October 14, 1954 in Kenosha, he was the son of Florian C. and Phyllis A. (Smith) Seitz. He attended local schools and was a 1972 graduate of Bradford High School. Todd was an above average participant in the Kenosha High School football and tennis programs and achieved high standards in golf. He also played on several local softball teams.
On November 28, 1973, Todd enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the U.S. Army Security Agency. He was honorably discharged on November 28, 1979. After his military service, Todd graduated from U.W.-Milwaukee in 1981.
On September 13, 1991 in Clearwater, FL, he was united in marriage to Karen Levitt.
In 1983, Todd began his working career with the U.S. Army in their Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs. Todd spent most of his years working at multiple military bases in Germany and other European countries as well as in the South Pacific. In February, 2014, Todd retired from civil service at Fort McCoy, WI.
Todd gave freely of his time to coach, teach and referee for many youth sports activities. Whenever he had to call a penalty, he was quick to explain to the offending person the reason why and how they could improve in the future. He loved to freely travel with his family. He visited just about every country in Europe and extensively traveled during the periods he was in the United States.
Todd loved to go to barn, garage and estate sales. He took great delight in making the broken-down items he purchased work again and he did it very well. If a family member or friend was in need of help on any projects, a simple call to Todd brought a prompt effective response.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his parents, Florian and Phyllis Seitz; his sons, Ross C. (Taryn) Seitz of Brookfield, WI and Chad Seitz of Germany; his daughters, Lauren (Joshua) Eikren of IL and Kelly Seitz of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Avery and Clayton C. Seitz and Nora Eikren; his brother, Blake H. (Janis) Seitz of Hartford, WI; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and aunt, Ann Menden.

Gina LeeTodd: You, your sense of humor, your tough love will be missed dearly. We endured the death of loved ones, celebrated the birth of children and one by one the bitter sweet departure of our CRD. Through it all, you led us, loved us and remained the cornerstone of our "family." No matter how zany the idea, how difficult the task or how late the hour, I knew you would be there with your tool box, your logistic help and most importantly your smile and support. Rest well dearest Todd and enjoy the eternal peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. YOU DESERVE IT!

John, Clare Laura and Adam CooperAs some of Todd's English friends we didn't see him often but he always made us very welcome whenever we visited the homes he shared with Karen, Kelly and Chad. The last time we visited Todd and Karen brings back happy memories - a boat trip on the Mississippi river. Todd was driving and typically went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had a brilliant day, we really appreciated being able to see something of his home state. We always enjoyed Todd's company and his sense of humour. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed by them all. Our love and thoughts are with Karen, Kelly, Chad, Ross and Lauren, and all of the Seitz family on this sad day and through the coming weeks and months. Rest in Peace Todd.

Kim VoldenI didn't get to know Todd well. I know his son, Chad, so if you can judge a man's life based on his family, he was a hero. My sympathy and love to the Seitz family.

Sharon FarisI don't think I have ever met anybody quite like my friend Todd. He was witty, handsome, charming, highly principled, ethical, fair, honest and while he could be a bit challenging, he was above all else genuine and larger than life! He was an integral part of our close knit group of friends and co- workers in Baumholder, Germany. He helped us through the good and the bad times, he made us laugh and cry and work all the harder for our soldiers. He will always live in our hearts and I am certain that we will forever tell Todd stories! He loved his family more than anything and our hearts go out to Karen, Kelly, Chad, Lauren and Ross. If everyone could strive to be as loving, hardworking, honest and truthful as Todd, the world would certainly be a better place! Rest well my friend, job very well done.

Jeff UhligTodd was a great father and husband and I know he will be missed. I witnessed first hand the caring, compassionate and loving way he had with his family. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed talking sports and refereeing with him. I too will miss him, he left us way too early.

Karen MiearI had the privilege and honor to work for Todd in Baumholder, Germany. He taught me so much about army recreation and what it meant to be there for our soldiers. He and I had our ups and downs,(such as putting me in charge of the boxing championship!) but through it all I always knew he would be there for me. Todd, you help to mold me into the person I am today. Your work ethic, your passion for the mission, and your willingness to show this "young" Air Force wife how things should be done will never be forgotten. Blessings upon you, my friend. To Todd's family - I pray for grace and peace for you as you enter into this new chapter of your life.
