Shannon Reneé Haas (nee Michaels), 38, of Silver Lake, WI passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 1, 2025 with her beloved husband Paul by her side, following a courageous three month battle with metastatic melanoma cancer.
Shannon was born on January 13, 1987, in Lake Forest, IL, the daughter of Don and Claudia Michaels (nee Hummel). She grew up in Wildwood, IL, attending Woodland Elementary and Wildwood Presbyterian Church. She played soccer with Grayslake American Youth Soccer Organization, Warren High School and Grayslake Galaxy. Her other extracurricular activities included gymnastics and Girl Scouts. Shannon enjoyed being with her many friends growing up and loved being around animals.
Shannon graduated from Warren High School with the class of 2005. She continued her education at Iowa State University and College of Lake County. She took pride in her work at Uline, Burlington Graphic Systems and Imagine Industries.
Shannon married Paul Haas on November 9, 2019 in Salem, WI. They enjoyed spending time in nature, traveling, and having fun family adventures with their two daughters. Shannon’s love for her family was strong and unconditional.
Shannon lived a joyful life and loved deeply, cherishing her relationships with close friends and extended family. She enjoyed planning parties to gather loved ones and attending social events. She had a passion for music, particularly attending concerts. She enjoyed rooting for Chicago sports teams and attending sporting events.
Shannon is survived by her husband, Paul Haas; daughter Brooke Haas; step-daughter Chloe Haas; parents Don and Claudia Michaels; brother Sean (Leigh-Ann) Michaels, niece Emelia and nephew Nolan; parents-in-law Dave and Carol Haas; sister-in-law Adriana (Joe) McCleer, nephew Joseph and niece Lucia; many aunts, uncles, and cousins and dog Maui.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Bette Michaels, Richard and Janice Hummel; aunts, Jo Michaels and Ginny Abruzzo and dog Kona.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately.

Don and Claudia MichaelsOur beloved daughter was one of the joys of our life. We will always celebrate the wonderful and many memories of love and life we experienced while she was with us. Her love and excitement of life knew no bounds. Heaven has a new party planner. She knew she was loved, cherished and will always be remembered by those family and friends.
