Sandra “Sandy” J. Kidwell passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice at the age of 73, after a brief battle with breast cancer.
Bon in Ottumwa, IA on July 20, 1947, to Robert and Dorothy Penrod. She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in 1965.
In 1966, Sandy was united in marriage to James A. Kidwell. Their union was blessed with three children and was later dissolved in 1972.
She was employed as a waitress at the Casino Town House and Golden Lantern. Sandy also worked as a screen printer for Kenosha Leatherette until her retirement.
Sandy enjoyed spending quality time with her family and was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her grand dogs. She had many friends at her home in Villa Cierra Apartments and was always willing to help someone in need. During her time at Villa Cierra Apartments, Sandy loved maintaining the flowers and decorating for the holidays. She was part of the “Knotters” group producing blankets for the Jockey Being Family backpack program.
Sandy is survived by her children, Thomasien (Ben) Kidwell Malsch and James R. (Stacey) Kidwell; her sisters, Sheila Bullock (Leonard), Karen Penrod, and Janet Penrod; her four grandchildren, Justyn Kidwell, Alex Malsch, Joshua Kidwell, and Hannah Katherine Malsch; and numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Kidwell.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kamaraju and the wonderful staff at Froedtert Hospital, as well as the staff at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their kind care and support.

Funeral services honoring Sandy’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
A visitation for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. Joy kosSo very sorry for your loss..as a new resident here at Villa Ciera..a year ago, Sandy introduced herself to me and made me feel welcome right after I moved in. .I enjoyed our visits out on the deck outside of our building during the warmer weather. She was so proud of her children , speaking of of them often ..yes..she did a wonderful job planting and caring for the flowers..and decorating for the holidays in front of our building.. I will miss seeing her and only wish I had gotten to know her better. RIP Sandy..
