diciembre 19, 2022

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Tyunaitis, age 72, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital. She was surrounded by loving friends and family.
Born on October 13, 1950 in Kenosha, Sandy was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Prewo) Tyunaitis and attended St. Joseph High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Accounting from U.W. Milwaukee and worked in corporate accounting as a CPA for over 30 years with Abbott Laboratories.
Sandy had many hobbies, including reading, knitting, tending to her spectacular garden, baking (especially cookies and her infamous pound cake) and going to concerts at Ravinia and around Kenosha — the Kenosha Pops, PB & Jam and Twilight Jazz were some of her favorites. She always looked forward to traveling with her life-long friends Carol and Michael, Sunday dinners with her family and spending time with her great friend Linda. Sandy deeply loved her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them. She was an incredibly generous person with a great sense of humor and was an amazing sister, aunt and friend.
Sandy will be missed by her brothers, Ronald Tyunaitis and Mark (Nanette) Tyunaitis; her nephews, Jared (Candace Hill) Tyunaitis and Aaron (Rachel) Tyunaitis; and her beloved (and incredibly spoiled) Tibetan Terrier Tillie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Tyunaitis and dogs Dewey, Ruby and Allie.

Tom SchieraDear Tyunaitis family, We were shocked and saddened to learn of Sandy's unexpected passing. We were Sandy's neighbors and when she walked her dog, she would often stop and talk to us. She was such a kind and pleasant person, always with a kind word and a constant smile. We looked forward to seeing her on her walks with her little doggie. We have lost a truly good person who we will always remember for the good and kind person that she was. With our sincere sympathy. Tom and Kathy Schiera
