Romaine Lulewicz, age 95 of Kenosha passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 24, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Szezcpanski) Sielski. Her family was from Poland and they moved back to their native country when she was an infant. In January, 1939, she made Kenosha her new home.
On November 30, 1940 at St. Casimir Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Stanley J. Lulewicz, Sr. After 29 years of marriage, he preceded her in death.
Romaine was a housekeeper for Kenosha Public Library, retiring in 1980.
She was a founding member of St. Therese Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Therese Christian Mothers.
Romaine was a homemaker who always welcomed everyone into her home with a smile, warm drink and something to eat. She loved to cook and work in her flower garden. Most importantly, Romaine cherished being with her family.
Her memory will be treasured by her family, Robert (Ellen) Lulewicz, Sandy (Randy) Schwenk, Mary Ann Ours; her daughter in law, Mary Lulewicz; her six grandchildren, Tim, Dan, Joe, Alex, Steven and Jason; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Lulewicz, Jr., her brother, George Sielski; and her sister, Dora Dorkowska.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery.
