Veterano de EE.UU.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Piasecki III, who left us on Saturday, October 31, 2026 (he and Kathleen loved Halloween), surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waukegan, IL on September 2, 1962, to Michael and Nancy (Slobe) Piasecki. Michael was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend who touched the lives of many.
On August 19, 1983, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Stefani.
From February 14, 1984, until August 13, 1987, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Michael pursued an Associate's Degree and built a fulfilling career as a Field Service Engineer in the explosion protection industry, dedicating his talents to IEP Technologies. His work was marked by a commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals, and following NASCAR. Although his loyalties were strong, he managed to keep an open mind when it came to the Green Bay Packers.
He was a die-hard fan of the rock band Rush and looked forward to the day he could meet his favorite drummer, Neil Peart, in heaven.
He also had a passion for cooking and took great pride in his culinary creations. A frequent customer of Cardinali's for pizza dough, he was known for making incredible homemade pizzas and was never shy about declaring, "My pizzas are the best!" He was equally famous for his oysters Rockefeller, which family and friends would agree were simply the best on the planet.
His love of music, sports, good food, and a little friendly competition brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Michael is survived by his mother, Nancy Piasecki; his children Michael (Sabrina Dallas) Piasecki IV and Emily (Caleb Young) Piasecki; his sisters, Joan (Chuck Wilson) Piasecki; Barbara Piasecki and Catherine (Randy) Moulton; his mother-in-law, Toni Kleczka; his brothers-in-law, Anthony (M.J.) and Thomas (Kelly) Stefani.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Piasecki Jr.; his beloved wife, Kathleen Piasecki; and father-in-law, Donald Kleczka.
Services for Michael will be held privately.
