It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen M. Garrett, a beloved mother, friend, and member of the Union Grove community, who left us peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 63.  She was born on February 11, 1963, to Don and Catherine. She lived a life full of love and warmth, touching the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Karen enjoyed cooking, dancing, and caring for others.

Karen is survived by her son, Jamaine Hayden, her brother Jerry, sisters Cynthia and Sandra, grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son James, passed away in 2007 and her parents Don and Catherine.

Throughout her life, Karen exemplified kindness and strength, creating a legacy of love that will undoubtedly live on through him and all who had the privilege of sharing moments with her.

Memorial services honoring Karen’s life will be held privately.
