James P. Kaiser
abril 19, 1950 -
septiembre 19, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Kaiser, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 76.
Jim was born on April 19, 1950, to Herbert and Esther Kaiser in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He attended and graduated from Tremper High School before continuing his education at Gateway Technical College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Horticulture Production and Retail.
On July 8, 1978, Jim married the love of his life, Dawn Etzelmuller, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, service, and community.
Following college, Jim worked for American Motors until June 1986. He then began a distinguished career as a Corrections Officer with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, serving faithfully for 31 years before retiring in 2017.
Jim had a lifelong passion for gardening. He took great pride in growing vegetables, fruit trees, and beautiful flowers, and found joy in sharing his harvest and knowledge with family, friends, and neighbors. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was an active member of Kenosha Bible Church. Over the years, he served as an Awana leader, volunteered with Vacation Bible School, participated in a Life Group Bible study, and attended a men's Bible study on Sunday mornings.
Retirement gave Jim additional opportunities to serve others. He volunteered weekly at Hospice Alliance Hospice House, sitting with patients and offering companionship during difficult times. He also volunteered with KAFASI, delivering Meals on Wheels and helping serve lunches at a Kenosha County senior center.
In addition to his love of gardening and service, Jim enjoyed raising tropical fish and working out at the gym several times each week. However, the greatest joy of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Whether attending their activities, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, his love for them was evident in everything he did.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Dawn Etzelmuller Kaiser; his daughter, Christine Sanchez (Joseph); his son, Kevin Kaiser (Morgan); his sisters, Karen Yurchak (Steve) and Sharon Dominguez (Jesse); his brothers, Richard Kaiser (Karen), Donald Kaiser (Ava), and Raymond Kaiser; and his seven cherished grandchildren, Declan Sanchez, Kaylee Kaiser, Kayden Kaiser, Sawyer Sanchez, Summit Sanchez, Cole Kaiser, and Chloe Kaiser. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Esther Kaiser, and his daughter, Katie Kaiser Reames.
Jim will be remembered for his unwavering faith, servant's heart, generous spirit, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the kindness he shared, and the cherished memories he leaves behind.
En vez de flores, se aceptan donativos en memoria a Hospice Alliance Inc, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. https://www.hospicealliance.org or to KAFASI, 7730 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, WI 53143, https://www.kafasi.org/donate/ sería de agradecer.

octubre 10, 2026It is with heavy heart that I see today my friend and school buddy has gone ahead. We hung out together in our school days at Pleasant Prarie . We caught up with each other as seniors these past few years. By email we visited and shared memories of our school days. To the family I say, "Only God can cure a broken heart" Jim and I shared our faith often. Miss you brother. I'm waiting for my time at bat.

septiembre 24, 2026Steve and I had the pleasure of being Jim and Dawn’s next door neighbors for the last 15 years. He was such a sweet and caring person. We always enjoyed just talking in the backyard or having a bonfire on a Saturday night. He always knew everything going on and always had stories to share. We were Blessed to have known him and he will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences to Dawn and all of the family. Thank you for sharing him with us! ❤️🙏

septiembre 23, 2026Dawn, so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Duane and him were such good friends. Duane always loved to get the call that he and Rob were going to Fred’s for a burger and would he like to go. He couldn’t turn that down. I’ll pray for you in the coming weeks and months. It will be hard but I know they will be sharing a burger in heaven! ❤️ Rose
