Glen Albert Rasmussen, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on March 17, 1928, to Albert and Alice (Middlecamp) Rasmussen. Glen lived a fulfilling life, marked by his dedication to family, friends, and the great outdoors he cherished so much.
Glen was proud to serve his country in the Army, where he earned the esteemed title of Sergeant and received the Silver three Bronze Stars. After his honorable discharge on April 30, 1953, and a proud member of American Legion Post 552. He worked for Kenosha County Parks and Hawthorne Hollow, turning every task into a labor of love.
On August 5, 1950, he was united in marriage to Marian Edquist.
Family was everything to Glen. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was spending quality time playing cards with friends, cheering on his beloved Duke basketball team, or sharing stories with his spouse, Marian Rasmussen, and his children and grandchildren. His warmth, humor, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Marian; his children, Thomas (Sue) Rasmussen, James (Terri) Rasmussen and Pamela Maerzke; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services honoring Glen’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at New Life Lutheran Church, 1520 Greenbay Road, Somers.

A visitation for Glen will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
