Garrett Mark Erskine, age 27, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, while on tour in Colorado.
Born on May 5, 1988, in Kenosha, he was the son of Mark and Shari (Gerlach) Erskine. He attended local schools and was a 2006 graduate of Tremper High School.
Garrett was baptized at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, where he also attended with his family. He was a talented musician; whether he was performing, singing or composing, he had a true passion for music. Garrett was a member and founder of the band Dark Half, and when he wasn’t performing, loved spending time with his faithful canine companion, “Josie”.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Shari (Steven Kupper) Erskine; two brothers, Ryan (Kimberly) Erskine and Jeremy (Rachel) Kupper; two sisters, Stephanie Lynn Karls and Samantha Kupper; paternal grandmother, Doris Erskine and maternal grandparents, Bruce Gerlach and Sharon (Mike) Ptasienski. Garrett was further survived by a niece, Eve Kupper; a nephew, Jace Kupper; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and fans.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Erskine and his paternal grandfather, Edwin Erskine.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, 2001-80th Street. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
