Cecil Hugh Dempsey Cameron, (78), with his children at his side, rejoined his wife and was welcomed into heaven on Thursday July 23, 2026, at 4:54 a.m.

Cecil was born March 27, 1948, in Sheffield Alabama. He lived in Stevenson, Alabama for his childhood years and later moved to Wisconsin and attended middle and high school. Cecil met the love of his life, and wife of 53 years, Regena Ann Cameron where they both attended Mary D. Bradford High School. They married August 17, 1967, right before he was deployed to Vietnam. They lived in Marquette MI, Kenosha WI and later settled in Bristol WI where he lived for 50 years.

Cecil proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a Veteran, never leaving his house without his hat displaying his pride in serving his country. In October 2019, Cecil was chosen to do an Honor Flight to Washington DC and said it was the best trip he had ever been on. Cecil was nicknamed "Radar" while on the Air Force due to his very close allies to the character Radar O'Riley from the TV series M.A.S.H., and the name stuck ever since.

After his military time Cecil became an iron worker for Bane Nelson, Inc. He was known to climb the I-beams like no one else. He was small in stature but mighty in strength. Due to early health concerns Cecil had to leave construction and went back to school receiving his associate’s degree in business and marketing where he worked for a short time before retiring early.

Cecil had three amazing children he loved and adored dearly. Whether it was coaching football or softball, leading Boy Scouts or cheering on the sidelines, he made himself present at any and all events he could be at. Cecil was known also as "Grandpa Radar" or "Papa" to his grandchildren whom he loved to spend time with. He did after school pick-ups and diner runs, watched countless baseball and softball games and theater shows. Cecil loved being a part of their lives, always bringing them stockpiles of treats and fruit snacks.

Cecil also had a second family at the Bristol 45 Diner where he ate his daily soup and coffee or Coca-Cola and made the waitresses laugh and smile with his presence. He was so excited and honored when Tik Toks they made with him in it "went viral" even though he didn't know what that meant.

Cecil's hobbies included tinkering in the garage, fixing anything he could, loved attending car shows and showing off a car, he and his friend Jerry restored.

Cecil was a friend to many and would give anyone help wherever needed. He also adopted many of his children's friends as a second dad and to some as honorary uncle. Cecil was always cheerful, smiling and telling silly jokes or playing tricks on people.

Cecil was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, college football "Roll Tide", watching westerns, war movies, and loved animals. He fed many neighborhood cats and other wildlife for many years as well as bringing treats and huge bones to his fur grandbabies and his nephews dog Norman.

Cecil is survived by his children, Victor (Connie) Cameron, Billy (Renee) Cameron, Roxanne (Eric) Hannes; his grandchildren, Bailey (Tyler) Leon, Sarah (Ryan) Wojtanek, Connor Cameron, Riley Cameron, Maddie Schutzen, Lexi Schutzen, Ryan Schutzen, Meagan Hannes and Matthew (Taylor) Hannes; his two great grandsons, Elijah and Caleb and well as his favorite brother, Joe (Dorthy) Cameron.

Cecil is further survived by special nephews and nieces from his sister and brother, Dean (Christine) Moser who he shared a love for construction with, Sally (Andy) Bernard, Kurt (Bobbi Jo) Cameron, and Kris (Bob) Boedigheimer as well as many nieces and nephews from his wife's side, close family friend of many years Norma Meier, Shelly (Joe) Kozak, Dani (Andy) Kozak-Joy and Jovi and sister and brothers-in-law from his wife's side.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Regena Ann Cameron; parents Billy and Mary Cameron; sister, Lyda Moser; in-laws, Jeff (Roxie) Stricklen; sister and brothers-in-law and close friends, Al Meier and Jerry Steiner.
