Audrey M. De Witt, age 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born on August 9, 1930, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Erna (Cofran) Zahn.
On January 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to Fred De Witt at St. George Catholic Church. They were blessed with four children and 63 years of marriage. Sadly, Fred passed away on January 4, 2013.
Audrey was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (formerly St. George Catholic Church). She was active in Christian Mothers and volunteered for the St. Mary’s library and the Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, traveling, keeping her home clean, and working word puzzles. She cherished her daily walks with Fred.
She will be deeply missed by children, Mike (Pam) De Witt, Kathy (Steve) Holtz, Peggy (Mike Brixius) Wakefield and Nancy (Trino Salas) Taft and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Audrey is further survived by her brother, Howard (Judy) Zahn, sisters-in-law, Esther Zahn and Betty De Witt and dear friend, Shirley Burdick along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Chuck Zahn and brothers-in-law, Bob and John De Witt.
Audrey’s family would like to thank Meadowmere Southport Assisted Living and Hospice Alliance- Hospice House for their kind and generous care of Audrey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4817 7th Avenue. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

John ZahnI have fond memories of having breakfast after church on Sundays with Audrey, Fred, and my mom and dad, when I was in town. After my dad and Fred passed away, Audrey and my mom and I carried on the tradition. To all of Audrey's friends and family. You have my condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
