Ann Harms, age 49 of Kenosha, passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 28, 2014, surrounded by her family.
Born on January 25, 1965 in Torrance CA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Sharon (Stanton) Baron. Raised in Torrance Ca, she was educated Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo, where she graduated from Paso Robles High School. Ann received her Bachelor’s Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo and her Master’s Degree from Leslie University.
On March 3, 1995 in Morro Bay California, she was united in marriage to Gregory Harms. His career took their family through many states and recently relocated back to Kenosha from Oregon in 2009.
Ann and her children were members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Ann was the kind of teacher no one ever forgets- funny energetic, a bit silly, and always committed to bringing out the very best in her students. She was a lifelong student, a lover of animals, and the world will be a little less bright without her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Greg; their two children, Margaret and Haddon Harms; her mother, Sharon Baron; a brother, Bill Baron; three sisters, Leah Pauley, Mary Baron and Sharon Schulte; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Baron.

Jamie Lala (Thacker)I moved to SC 10 years ago, but worked with Ann before that at First United day care while her beautiful children attended there. She was amazing. Always so sweet. Always a tone to her voice that let you know she cared about u. I loved her. She was wonderful with the children, often their favorite teacher. You could tell that she gave 100% all the time. Hardworking, intelligent, and caring. I'll never forget her or Margaret(4,5 yo at the time) and Haden(2,3 yo). That family had a special place in my heart. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing(on Facebook), nor do I know the circumstances. I do want her family to know that I remember her as a special person. She meant a lot to me while working with her during the summer and seeing her pick up the kids throughout the year. Always smiling. My condolences.
