11 de diciembre de 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shelly A. Andres, who left us peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on May 9, 1973, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Shelly brought light and joy to everyone she met throughout her life. A beloved mother, sister, and daughter, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Shelly had the privilege to work with special needs students at Andrew Cooke Magnet School. The children she worked with meant the world to her. She treated them as her very own.
She loved fishing with her family, baking Christmas cookies, shopping at the mall, going to the movies and spending time at her home in Tomahawk, WI. Most of all, Shelly loved spending time with her son and talking about Jesus. Shelly’s wish was to support others and be joyful for the time spent with loved ones. Her life was an example of surrender and sacrifice to the Lord’s will.
Shelly is survived by her cherished son, Christopher Andres; her beloved fiancé, Ken Sorensen; her dear brother, Stephen Kendzior; her dear sister, Stacie Kendzior; her loving parents Larry and Catherine Kendzior. She touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and caring nature, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Go with God Shelly, our sweet Angel. Your love will continue to shine!
“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever," - Psalm 23:6 (NLT)

diciembre 16, 2025Hey girl, hey. I already miss seeing your bright and shining face in the halls. I miss hearing you greet me as "Vecchio", the name your students called me when I called in for my hot chocolate. You made an impact on me, and on Cooke. I am thankful you can find rest and peace now.
To Ken, Christopher, and the rest of Shelly's family, know that she was loved and admired. She made a difference. Her memory will always be a blessing.
