julio 24, 2025We were so sorry to hear of George's passing. He was a great guy with a fantastic sense of humor. He did so much for so many people and was appreciated for his helpfulness. His service to our country as a Marine and his continued dedication to helping his fellow Vets will be remembered by many. George is no longer in pain and with his God. He will be missed by so many friends, Vets, organizations he helped, but none more than his family. May you find comfort in your memories and please know we will miss George and we are so very sorry for your loss.

julio 28, 2025George was more an uncle to me than actual family members were. At school I’d tell my friends about my uncle George “The Marine”. Grandpa Nick & Grandma Helen would tell me when he was coming home and I’d make him carry me on his shoulders cause that was top of the world to me. Whenever there was a function and his Marine buddies were there. I’d stand with them wishing I was one of them. Life & time always do their thing and people travel their journeys. Mine wouldn’t be what it is without George and all the Vujović family. Grandpa Nick, Grandma Helen, Uncle George, Enny Ann, and my God-Brothers Nick & Jimmy. Živeli Uncle George, until I ride on your shoulders again

julio 25, 2025I grew up with George and his family, he was always a great guy to hang about with. The old neighborhood on 19th Avenue was a great neighborhood to grow up in. I'd go over to his and his folks were very friendly and they made some great food!! Played Basketball for CYC Pistons and we had a great time. And later at the legion. Just an overall great person and he'll be sadly missed. My thoughts are with him & his family. Salute'

23 de julio de 2025George and I were good friends from Jr High throughout the years. I visited him on visitors day when he was attending boot camp in the Marines in either May or June 1975. He was excited about becoming a Marine. I never had the chance to visit him at his duty stations, but recall coming home on leave later, where we Marines, George, Carl, Victor, and I, alongside Dicky, shared a steak dinner after having drinks with his very proud father, Nick, at his residence. Over the years, I had seen George for but a few times. Each time was a joyful filled with memories with our friends. We had deer hunted together, partied together, skipped school a few times to hang out in the county. There are so many things to say, but suffice to say this only. Farewell George. Fair winds, Following Seas.
