It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Neal R. Broadway, who left us on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born on October 9, 1951 to Milton and Donna (Sorn) Broadway in Illinois, Neal lived a life characterized by love, generosity, and commitment to his family and friends.

Neal was a man of unwavering spirit and kindness. He approached life with a warm smile and a compassionate heart, making a lasting impact on everyone he met. His legacy will live on through the memories shared and the stories told by those who were fortunate enough to have shared a part of their lives with him.

He served well and as a proud Marine at the age of 17.

In 1973 he married Sharon Olsen and they enjoyed over 55 years together, meeting as teenagers.  When they met, Neal was an angel to help raise Sharon’s siblings and help his mother-in-law.  He had many interests and hobbies, including tinkering with Harleys and was always hanging in the ‘shit shop.’  Most of all and most important to the family, Neal took immense pride in his role as being the best husband, father, brother, father-in-law, brother-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will carry forth his legacy.

Neal is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; son, Jason (Cathy) Broadway; daughter-in-law Dawn Broadway; grandchildren Shelby (Joe) Mauldin, Eva (Dominic) Shumway, John Broadway, Faith Broadway and Jacob Broadway; great grandchildren, Xander, Xaiden, Xoey, Jaxson and Knox (expected in August) Mauldin, Pio and Alayna Shumway; sister Marjorie (Jim) Hoagland and sister-in-law Brenda Broadway and Uncle Bob. Neal’s enduring connection to his family was a cornerstone of his life, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Neal was preceded in death by his parents: Milton and Donna Broadway; son Joshua Broadway and brother Floyd Broadway.

A celebration of Neal’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 starting 2:00 pm at Neal’s home with full military honors at 3:00 p.m.
