Lois C. Walker, 95, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, August 27, 2026.  Born Lois Catherine Kollman on October 3, 1930, in Kenosha, WI, she was the daughter of Nicholas Anthony and Rose Margaret (Wade) Kollmann. Lois attended St. Casmir’s Grade School, Washington Junior High and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1948. She married Horton (Al) Bane, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1970, and married Charles F. Walker in 1972, who also preceded her in death in 2004.

Lois is survived by and will be profoundly missed by her children, Glendeen G. Berry (married to Leonard Berry) of Queens, NY, Horton A. Bane Jr. (married to Wendy Bane) of Kenosha, and Rosanne M. Bane (married to Claudia Bruber) of St. Paul MN; her grandchildren, Yvette Upham (married to Sean Upham), Horton Joseph (Joe) Bane (married to Shannon Bane), Vivian Walker, Sally Sellno (married to Don Sellno), Russell T. Bane, Elizabeth Bane, Ashley Meyer (married to John Meyer); her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Kollmann) Fisher of Naperville, IL and her sister-in-law, Barbara Kollmann of Goleta, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Norton Kollmann and Wade Kollmann, sister-in-law, Betty Ann Kollmann, her son, Russel J. Bane and her grandson, Michael Bane. She will also be missed by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Lois was a bookkeeper at local businesses, including Bane-Nelson, Inc., Potenti Decorating, and Northwestern Drapery, taught bookkeeping at Kenosha Technical Institute and most recently volunteered at Kenosha Memorial Hospital’s gift shop. She was a charter member of Plymouth Congregational Church, a United Hospital Ambassador, and a member of the Eastern Star, the Lois Club and the Red Hats. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and wintered in Sarasota, FL for many years.

Lois was an avid card player, especially bridge. She enjoyed needlework and her cross-stitch art is treasured and displayed by family members and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
